About Story Lectionary

Story Lectionary originally began in 2017 as the dream of a doctoral preaching cohort at Portland Seminary. Dr. Leonard Sweet's students at Portland Seminary crafted the Story Lectionary, 52 sermons that re-tell the Story of Scripture from “the Garden to the Garden City.” The book The Story Lectionary is available on Amazon here. The original Story Lectionary webpage was in conjunction with the writing and publishing of that book.

Currently the Story Lectionary webpage is curated by a former student of Dr. Sweet who felt called to pick up the baton and continue what the cohort started.
